I serve as Loomis Town Councilmember, and I’m a member of SPRWF, RWF of the Auburn Area, PCRA, Loomis Lions Club and the Loomis Chamber of Commerce. I am a voting member of the Republican Central Committee.
This year I have marched in pro life prayer walks, and volunteered for Sierra Pregnancy & Health fundraisers. I have had the privilege of speaking at Del Oro for Voter Outreach and I have volunteered in the GOP trailer at the Gold Country fair.
Most importantly I helped raise over $30k for the central committee at Boots and Brisket.
While we’ve accomplished a great deal, our work is far from finished.
As Sacramento continues to impose mandates that erode local control, Loomis needs experienced leadership that will stand up for our community and fight to keep local decisions in local hands.
I remain committed to seeing critical projects through to completion. As the Town’s representative on the Placer County Transportation Planning Agency, I have a unique opportunity to advocate for funding that benefits small towns like Loomis.
I was proud to champion the revival of the long-dormant Horseshoe Bar Road/I-80 Interchange Project, transforming it from an idea into a reality. With Phase One nearing completion, I will continue fighting to secure the additional funding needed to complete this vital safety and traffic improvement.
Reducing congestion, improving traffic flow, expanding safe sidewalks, and investing in infrastructure that protects our residents and supports our quality of life will remain among my highest priorities.
My name is Amanda Cortez, and I am 49 years old. My husband and I have been married for over 25 years, and together we have a blended family of six children.
After 27 years of dedicated service, I retired from my career as a blue-collar delivery driver. I also earned my Associate of Arts in Ministerial Studies with an emphasis in Pastoral Leadership.
We moved to the beautiful town of Loomis in 2004, where we raised our children and became deeply involved in the community. With our children actively participating in sports, it was our pleasure to volunteer and support Del Oro football, cheer, wrestling, and the LBD swim team.
I love our town and want to keep it alive with responsible growth and maintenance to attract patrons, while protecting landowners and the rural areas. I want to give you a voice in our town!
